Christmas
So it is now two days after Christmas and I have made it through four Christmases. My first Christmas was at my papa’s house. My aunt and her husband cane in to have dinner and exchange presents with us. My grandma got me an Instax Polaroid camera and my aunt got me a silver Penn State bracelet. My second Christmas was on Christmas Eve at my grandma’s. This year I decided to bring my boyfriend along and hope for the best. He’s been to a lot of family things but I’ve never actually thought a guy could handle Christmas at my grandma’s before. Christmas at my grandma’s is crazy because it’s about 35 people all packed into her small house trying to eat dinner and open presents at one time. My grandma got me fuzzy socks, candy, and a gift card, which at my age is actually very appreciated. I got my grandma a new curling iron; this was actually my first year buying my grandma a present separate from my parents. My boyfriend got me a giant stuffed dog and a box of Hershey’s chocolates. I got him a Harry Potter shirt from universal (if you weren’t familiar with Harry Potter all you would see is a deer), sour gummy worms, and a small photo album with pictures of us over the past 9 and a half months. It may not seem like much, but for two high schoolers you have to improvise. I actually really love my present from my boyfriend because he doesn’t have a job to have a lot of money, but he still got me something he knew I’d really like. Next was Christmas at my house with my parents. My second favorite gift was a 20th Anniversary Edition Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone that was Ravenclaw themed. My favorite is a three day weekend trip to Orlando for later in January. I’ll update you guys on that later. My final Christmas was at my Meme’s (grandma) house. We had a nice dinner and opened presents. My Meme got us all $100 visa gift cards and got me a scarf. I’m really thankful for my family and love Christmas. Even if their were no presents I’d still love Christmas because I get to see my family.
