Disney Orlando Parks/Vacation Tips

I’m back to talking about Disney! This time I'm gonna give you guys any tips I can think of on how to plan and have a good Disney vacation. I’m gonna put these in more of a list form so bare with me.

  1. If you can go in the fall or spring and try to avoid holiday. Holidays at Disney are very busy as well as the summer, not to mention the stifling heat.
  2. Start planning early, especially if staying on Disney property. Hotels get booked fast and prices often shift frequently for flights.
  3. If you are planning on going places other than Disney, rent a car. It’s convenient to be able to go wherever you want, whenever you want, and not have to rely on public or hotel transportation.
  4. Buy your Disney tickets on line. They are often cheaper and you can find out if your day is a value day (cheaper due to less people being at the park)
  5. Make your Fastpass+ reservations as soon as possible. Popular rides run out of fast passes fast. (The time frames are: 30 days for anyone with a ticket, 60 days for guests staying at a Disney hotel.)
  6. If you get the chance to go to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party you should go. If you have young kids the Halloween party is great because little kids can dress up and go trick-or-treating inside the park. Out of the two my personal favorite is the Christmas party because the castle is lit up and they give out free cookies and hot chocolate. Both parties feature unique shows, parades, and fireworks. (As previously mentioned try to avoid going on the actual holiday, each party has big time frames so make sure to check those when planning your trip.)
  7. If you stay at a Disney hotel you get advantages such as extra magic hours ( extra time in the park either before park opens or after it closes), the ability to book fastpasses 60 days in advance versus 30, and extra opportunities like movies outside at your hotel.
  8. Download the MyDisneyExperience app you can access the app to make your Fastpass+ reservations, reserve dining, even by tickets and book hotels. Once in the park you can access attraction wait times, maps, showtimes, and descriptions of things throughout the park. Also after you use all three of your fastpasses then you can reserve an additional Fastpass+ experience.
While that is all for now I will be back with updates as I think of more.
